The entrance may be a bit strange, but check-in is smooth and the hostel has amazing facilities. the pool is fantastic, the rooms are comfortable with plenty of storage, and the bathrooms are spacious and clean. We had the best night's sleep in a long time and wish we could have stayed longer. 100% recommend.

I gotta say, I got great bang for my buck at Banana Tree! The room was super cozy and clean, with these cool individual pods that had curtains for privacy. Plus, the location was spot on, right next to the boat station. And the staff? They were top-notch, so friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

The hotel breakfast menu could use some improvement. It would be great if they could offer more variety or some local specialties to make it even better.

The pool and common area were great for meeting people and the rooms were well equipped with spacious showers. the location was ideal, close to bars and cafes with a nice lake view.

The music playing all day made it hard to find a quiet spot and the hostel staff seemed more focused on business. the rooms lacked ventilation and had a strong odor, plus there were a lot of mosquitoes.

Very social atmosphere, relaxing location, great facilities, comfortable bed. Staff at the bar were super nice. Huge bathroom in each room. Helpful staff, especially Quy who saved us with a last-minute airport transfer.

Stayed at a fantastic hostel in Ninh Binh called Banana Tree. the atmosphere was great and the pool was exceptionally clean. the location was perfect, right in the center with beautiful views of the river. the staff were friendly and understanding, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. the bathrooms were modern and the food at the hostel looked amazing, although I opted to eat at local restaurants nearby. They also offered river tours right next door.

Lack of shower gels/shampoo in the bathrooms. Poor ventilation in the rooms, resulting in a terrible smell when sharing with multiple people.

The staff were friendly and helpful, always willing to assist in any situation. The location was great, surrounded by restaurants and with a nice lake/river nearby. One of the best aspects was the comfortable beds with amazing showers and bathrooms. It provided a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

It was harder to meet people if you were traveling solo and didn't know anyone. The staff also seemed a bit disorganized with check-ins and check-outs, which caused some inconvenience.

The location of the hostel was ideal, situated in a peaceful area with beautiful surroundings. Being able to easily meet other travelers in the common area was a highlight, and I enjoyed the opportunity to do scooter trips around the area. the option to relax and chill by the pool all day long was a definite bonus.

this wasn't a major issue as there were plenty of affordable restaurants nearby. Another downside was the occasional long waiting time at the reception, which I assume was due to the hostel recently restarting their business.

The best aspects of this hostel were the spacious common area and the friendly and helpful staff. The common area felt like a resort or clubhouse, perfect for just relaxing and taking it easy. the staff at the reception were knowledgeable and addressed all of our questions immediately. We also appreciated the convenient locker right below the bunk bed.

The worst aspect of our stay was the terrible smell coming from the bathroom. It was quite unpleasant and affected our overall experience.

We had a wonderful stay at a smaller homestay in a peaceful location. The pool and outdoor area were highlights and provided a gorgeous view onto the river. The dorms were clean, comfortable, and the lockers were a perfect size. The staff at reception were incredibly nice, helping us book transportation and giving helpful advice on where to go. we highly recommend this place for its great reasons!

I stayed at The Banana Tree Hostel for 4 nights as a solo traveler and it was amazing! The garden with the swimming pool, bar, and restaurant created the perfect atmosphere to relax and chill. The staff was incredibly helpful, even letting me sleep on the couch by the pool when I arrived early in the morning. The location was ideal, surrounded by restaurants and a beautiful lake/river. The beds were comfortable and the entire place was spotlessly clean. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a sociable and comfortable stay!
